Mobile Batching plant contributing to HS2 Old Oak Common project
Total Batching solutions have recently supplied and commissioned their mobile batching plant (MB100) to supply concrete for on site construction work at HS2’s Old Oak Common site in London, UK.
The batching plant has been purchased by London Concrete, and will be used to supply a range of specifications and mixes of ready mixed concrete for different applications across the project. London Concrete went to market to identify the most suitable mobile batching plant for this project and made the decision to choose Total Batching solutions. Michael McCrory technical director at Total Batching Solutions has over 25 years experience in mobile batching plant design and has included some key features in the MB100 mobile batching plant that are not seen anywhere else on the market. These features include:
- Fully self-erecting plant – No Cranes, no civils required
- Set up in one day with two operators
- 3m3 BHS Mixer – producing 100m3 of ready mix concrete
- 5 aggregate hoppers – wider range of aggregates for special mixes
- No Ramps, conveyor feed option is safer, quicker and lower cost
Michael McCrory continued:
” We listen to what our customers tell us and try to integrate it into our design process. Our customers want to react faster and produce more efficiently on projects whilst maintaining high levels of safety. We have sat down and thought out ways in which we can help our customers do this. The TBS mobile feed hopper gets rid of the need to construct ramps on site and allows aggregates to be fed more efficiently, and safely. This along with the ability of the plant to self erect without the use of any cranes also radically reduces set up time which impacts on cost, and allows our customers to tender for and win all sizes of projects.”
The MB100 mobile batching plant is currently working in the UK and Europe and is operated by a number of leading ready mix companies.
